Keep a report and claim your shop

On the report, This is my shop leaves the shop on your account. Signing in without a report only creates the account. Neither connects Google.

On a report, This is my shop emails a link or uses Google. That keeps the report and claims the shop. We do not connect a Google listing.
Signing in from the login page without a report only creates an account. Claim later with This is my shop on that report.
Claim is not connecting Google. We do not change your Google listing.
A free account keeps one claimed shop. If you have two locations, claim one and check the other from the home page.
You can switch to another saved shop. Free accounts can do that once every 7 days.
